Ottie's Trail (“the Service”) is built and run by an independent developer. We care about your privacy. This policy explains what data the iOS app and the ottie.1tron.ai website may handle, why, and your rights.
1. What we collect
- iOS app: your trails, revealed map, photo pins and stats are stored only on your device and, if you opt in, your own iCloud. They are never uploaded to our servers.
- Photos: the app reads geotagged photos from your own photo library to place pins. Photos stay in your library; the app does not copy them to us.
- The app is free: there are no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
- The app does not collect advertising identifiers and does not perform behavioural tracking.
2. Website
The ottie.1tron.ai website is a static marketing site. It does not set advertising cookies or run behavioural trackers. Standard server logs may record anonymous request data for security and reliability.
3. Location data
Location is used solely on your device to reveal the map and record your trail. It is never sent to us or any third party. You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings.
4. Your rights & control
Because your data lives on your device and your iCloud, you are in control. You can delete your trail, export a backup, or remove the app at any time. Deleting the app removes its on-device data; an iCloud backup, if enabled, can be restored later.
5. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
